Shorewood Village President Guy Johnson will be running for Rep. Sheldon Wasserman's open WI State Assembly seat this fall.  According to the WI State Elections Board website, Johnson has filed papers to run in the election as a Democrat.  The current slate of candidates includes 5 Democrats and 1 Republican.

Wasserman is vacating his seat to challenge Alberta Darling for her State Senate seat.

Steve,

I'm wondering why this article by Guy Johnson is written in the third person?!?

( www.shorewoodnow.com/.../index.aspx ) Is it just me or is that kind of creepy?? Why not just describe himself and his qualifications for the office like at: www.electguyjohnson.com

Giving supporters third person letters to write is a reasonably common campaign tactic.  Typically though, you would see another supporter posting that type of letter/press release rather than the candidate himself.  It does sound a little odd posted in this way.

I had to write about myself in the third person when making campaign brochures, but the intent and form of that form is somewhat different.
